Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 30
1 Et dans le 4e mois de la 1e année de la 6e semaine, il monta à Salem à l’EST de Shechem en paix et là ils amenèrent Dinah la fille de Jacob dans la maison de Shechem, fils de Hamor le hivite le prince de la terre, et il coucha avec elle et la souilla alors qu’elle était une petite fille, une enfant de 12 ans.
2 Et il chercha son père et ses frères pour qu’elle lui soit donnée pour femme mais Jacob et ses fils étaient en colère à cause des hommes de Shechem, car ils avaient souillé Dinah leur sœur et ils leur parlèrent avec mauvaise intention et traitèrent faussement avec eux et les trompèrent.
3 Et Siméon et Lévi vinrent par surprise à Shechem et firent justice sur tous les hommes de Shechem et tuèrent tous les hommes qui s’y trouvaient et ne laissèrent pas un seul homme vivant ; ils les tuèrent tous par des tourments parce qu’ils avaient déshonoré leur sœur Dinah, et voici, que cela ne se reproduise pas à ce jour qu’une fille d’Israël soit souillée, car le jugement est ordonné contre eux au ciel pour que tous les hommes shechemites soient détruits par l’épée, car ils avaient apporté la honte en Israël.
5 Et s’il y a un homme en Israël qui désire donner sa fille ou sa sœur à un homme qui est de la semence des nations, il mourra certainement et ils le lapideront avec des pierres, car il a apporté la honte en Israël et ils brûleront la femme au feu, car elle a déshonoré le nom de la maison de son père et elle sera déracinée d’Israël.
6 Et ne laisse pas un adultère, ni impur se trouver en Israël dans tous les jours des générations de la terre, car Israël est saint pour 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) et tout homme qui souille [cela] mourra certainement, ils le lapideront avec des pierres.
7 Car cela a été ordonné et écrit sur les tablettes célestes concernant toute la semence d’Israël ; celui qui souille [cela] mourra certainement et il sera lapidé avec des pierres.
8 Et à cette Torah il n’y a pas de limite de jours et ni rémission, ni aucune expiation, mais l’homme qui aura souillé sa fille sera déraciné du milieu de tout Israël, car il a donné sa semence à Moloch et agit avec impiété au point de souiller cela.
9 Et toi Moïse, commande aux enfants d’Israël et exhorte-les de ne pas donner leurs filles aux nations et de ne pas prendre pour leurs fils aucune des filles des nations, car c’est abominable devant 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH).
10 Pour cette raison que dans les paroles de la Torah, j’ai écrit pour toi toutes les actions que les shechemites ont faites contre Dinah et comment les fils de Jacob parlèrent en disant : Nous ne donnerons pas notre fille à un homme qui est incirconcis, car cela serait pour nous un reproche.
11 Et c’est un reproche à Israël, pour ceux qui vivent et pour ceux qui prennent les filles des nations, car c’est impur et abominable pour Israël.
12 Et Israël ne sera pas libéré de son impureté s’il a une femme des filles des nations ou s’il aura donnée une de ses filles à un homme qui est un des nationaux.
13 Et il y aura peste sur peste et malédiction sur malédiction, car tout jugement de peste et malédiction viendront s’il fait cette chose ou se cache les yeux envers ceux qui commettent l’impureté ou envers ceux qui souillent le sanctuaire de 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) ou envers ceux qui profanent son Nom Saint, [alors] la nation entière sera jugée ensemble pour toute l’impureté et la profanation de cet homme.
14 Et il n’y aura aucun respect pour personne [ni d’exception de personne] et ni remise de ses mains de fruits et d’offrandes et de sacrifice au feu et de graisse, ni parfum de douce odeur pour accepter cela, pour le prix de tout homme ou femme en Israël qui souille le sanctuaire.
15 Pour cette raison, je t’ai commandé en disant : Atteste ce témoignage en Israël, vois comment les shechemites procédaient avec leurs fils et comment ils furent livrés entre les mains des 2 fils de Jacob qui les frappèrent avec des tortures et cela fut [compté] pour eux en justice et il est écrit pour eux en justice.
16 Et la semence de Lévi fut choisie pour le sacerdoce et pour être Lévites pour qu’ils puissent faire le service devant 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) comme nous, continuellement, et que Lévi et ses fils soient bénis à toujours, car il était zélé à exécuter la justice et jugement et vengeance sur tous ceux qui se levaient contre Israël et ils s’inscrivirent ainsi comme un témoignage en sa faveur sur les tablettes célestes, en bénédiction et droiture devant Elohim de tous.
17 Et nous mémorisons la justice que l’homme réalise durant sa vie à toutes périodes de l’année jusqu’à 1 000 générations [l’inscriront-ils] et elle viendra sur lui et sur ses descendants après lui qui aura été inscrit sur les tablettes célestes comme un ami et un homme juste.
18 J’ai écrit pour toi toute cette matière et t’ai commandé de dire aux enfants d’Israël qu’ils ne doivent pas commettre de péché, ni transgresser les ordonnances, ni briser l’alliance qui a été ordonnée pour eux, [mais] ils doivent l’accomplir pour être inscrits comme des amis.
19 Mais s’ils transgressent et agissent salement dans leur voie, ils seront inscrits sur les tablettes célestes comme des adversaires et seront détruits du livre de vie et seront inscrits dans le livre de ceux qui seront détruits et avec ceux qui seront déracinés de la terre.
20 Et le jour que les fils de Jacob frappèrent Shechem, un écrit fut inscrit en leur faveur de droiture et de vengeance contre les pécheurs, et il fut inscrit comme une bénédiction.
21 Et ils ramenèrent Dinah leur sœur hors de la maison de Shechem et ils prirent captifs toute chose qui était dans Shechem, leurs moutons et leurs bœufs et leurs ânes et tout leur capital et tous leurs troupeaux et les apportèrent tous à leur père Jacob qui leur reprocha d’avoir passé la ville à l’épée, car il craignait ceux qui habitaient sur la terre, les canaanites et les perizzites.
22 Et la crainte de 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) fut sur toutes les villes qui étaient autour de Shechem et ils ne se levèrent pas pour poursuivre les fils de Jacob, car la terreur était tombée sur eux.
ובשנה הראשונה לשבוע השישי עלה שלם אשר מקדם לשכם בשלום בחודש הרביעי:
And in the first year of the sixth week he went up to Salem, to the east of Shechem, in peace, in the fourth month.
ושם לקחו את דינה בת יעקב אל בית שכם בן חמור החיוי נשיא הארץ וישכב אותה ויענה:
And there they carried off Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, into the house of Shechem, the son of Hamor, the Hivite, the prince of the land, and he lay with her and defiled her,
והיא היתה נערה קטנה בת שתים עשרה שנה ויבקש מלפני אביה לתתה לו לאשה ומאחיה ביקש אותה לו:
and she was a little girl, a child of twelve years.
And he besought his father and her brothers that she might be given to him to wife.
אכן אף יעקב ובניו חרה באנשי שכם אשר טימאו את דינה אחותם ויתנכלו רעה ביניהם ויעשו בערמה ובמירמה איתם:
And Jacob and his sons were wroth because of the men of Shechem; for they had defiled Dinah, their sister, and they spake to them with evil intent and dealt deceitfully with them and beguiled them.
ושמעון ולוי באו בסתר שכמה ויעשו שפטים בכל אנשי שכם ויהרגו את כל האנשים אשר מצאו בתוכה ולא הותירו איש בה:
And Simeon and Levi came unexpectedly to Shechem and executed judgment on all the men of Shechem, and slew all the men whom they found in it, and left not a single one remaining in it:
את כולם הרגו במכאובים על אשר טמאו את דינה אחותם:
they slew all in torments because they had dishonoured their sister Dinah.
ולא ייעשו כן מיום הזה והלאה לטמא בת ישראל:
And thus let it not again be done from henceforth that a daughter of Israel be defiled;
כי בשמים הושת עליהם העונש להכרית כל אנשי שכם לפי חרב כי נבלה עשו לבת ישראל:
for judgment is ordained in heaven against them that they should destroy with the sword all the men of the Shechemites because they had wrought shame in Israel.
ויתן אותם ה' ביד בני יעקב להכריתם לפי חרב ולעשות בהם שפטים:
And the Lord delivered them into the hands of the sons of Jacob that they might exterminate them with the sword and execute judgment upon them,...
ולא יעשה כדבר הזה בישראל לעולם לענות בתולה ישראלית:
and that it might not thus again be done in Israel that a virgin of Israel should be defiled.
ואיש איש מישראל אשר יתן או אשר נתן את בתו או את אחותו לאיש מזרע הגוים מות יומת ובאבנים ירגמוהו כי חטא ונבלה עשה בישראל:
And if there is any man who wisheth in Israel to give his daughter or his sister to any man who is of the seed of the Gentiles he shall surely die, and they shall stone him with stones; for he hath wrought shame in Israel;
ואת האשה ישרפו באש כי טימאה את שם בית אביה ונכרתה מישראל:
and they shall burn the woman with fire, because she hath dishonoured the name of the house of her father, and she shall be rooted out of Israel.
ולא ימצא כל טומאה וזנונים בישראל בכל דורות הארץ כי קדוש ישראל לה:
And let not an adulteress and no uncleanness be found in Israel throughout all the days of the generations of the earth; for Israel is holy unto the Lord,
וכל איש אשר יעשה תועבה מות יומת וסקול יסקל:
and every man who hath defiled (it) shall surely die: they shall stone him with stones.
כי כן נחרת ונכתב על לוחות השמים על כל זרע ישראל העושה טומאה מות יומת וסקול יסקל:
For thus hath it been ordained and written in the heavenly tables regarding all the seed of Israel: he who defileth (it) shall surely die, and he shall be stoned with stones.
ולחוק הזה אין קץ הימין ואין סוף ואין סליחה כי אם הכרת יכרת האיש אשר טימא את בתו בכל ישראל כי מזרעו נתן למולך ועשה ואשם לטמאו:
And to this law there is no limit of days, and no remission, nor any atonement: but the man who hath defiled his daughter shall be rooted out in the midst of all Israel, because he hath given of his seed to Moloch, and wrought impiously so as to defile it.
ואתה משה צו את בני ישראל והעידה בם לבל יתנו מבנותיהם לגויים ולא יקחו מבנות הגוים כי תועבת ה' היא:
And do thou, Moses, command the children of Israel and exhort them not to give their daughters to the Gentiles, and not to take for their sons any of the daughters of the Gentiles, for this is abominable before the Lord.
על כן כתבתי לך בכל דברי התורה את כל מעשה אנשי שכם אשר עשו לדינה:
For this reason I have written for thee in the words of the Law all the deeds of the Shechemites, which they wrought against Dinah,
ואת אשר נדברו בני יעקב לאמור לא נוכל לתת את בתנו לאנשים אשר להם ערלה:
and how the sons of Jacob spake, saying: "We shall not give our daughter to a man who is uncircumcised;
כי חרפה היא לנו ולישראל בתת אותה או בקחת מבנות הגוים כי טמא היא ופיגול בישראל וישראל לא יטהר:
for that were a reproach unto us."
And it is a reproach to Israel, to those who give, and to those who take the daughters of the Gentiles; for this is unclean and abominable to Israel.
ובגלל התועבה הזאת כי יהיה לאיש אישה מבנות הגוים או כי יתן איש אחת מבנותיו לאיש מכל הגוים יבואו נגע על נגע וקללה על קללה וכל פגעים ונגעים וקללות:
And Israel will not be free from this uncleanness if it hath a wife of the daughters of the Gentiles, or hath given any of its daughters to a man who is of any of the Gentiles.
For there will be plague upon plague, and curse upon curse, and every judgment and plague and curse will come (upon him):
וכי תעשה את הדבר הזה והעלם יעלימו עם הארץ את עיניהם מן העושים תועבה והמטמאים את מקדש ה' והמחללים את השם הקדוש ענוש יענש כל העם יחדו בעבור כל הטומאה והתועבה הזאת:
if he do this thing, or hide his eyes from those who commit uncleanness, or those who defile the sanctuary of the Lord, or those who profane His holy name, (then) will the whole nation together be judged for all the uncleanness and profanation of this (man).
ולא ישא פני איש ולא יכיר פנים במשפט ולא יקח מידו מנחה וקרבן מנחה ואישה וחלב וקטורת לריח ניחוח לרצון:
And there will be no respect of persons [and no consideration of persons], and no receiving at his hands of fruits and offerings and burnt-offerings and fat, nor the fragrance of sweet savour, so as to accept it:
ככה יעשה לכל איש ואישה בישראל אשר יחללו את מקדשו:
and so fare every man or woman in Israel who defileth the sanctuary.
לכן ציויתיך לאמור העד בישראל את העדות הזאת ראה מה היה לאנשי שכם ולבניהם איך ניתנו ביד שני בני יעקב והומתו במכאובים:
For this reason I have commanded thee, saying: "Testify this testimony to Israel: see how the Shechemites fared and their sons: how they were delivered into the hands of two sons of Jacob, and they slew them under tortures,
ותחשב להם לצדקה ויכתבו לצדקה ויבחר בזרע לוי לכהנים וללויים לעמוד לשרת לפני ה' כמונו כל הימים:
and it was (reckoned) unto them for righteousness, and it is written down to them for righteousness.
And the seed of Levi was chosen for the priesthood, and to be Levites, that they might minister before the Lord, as we, continually,
וברוך לוי ובניו לעולם תחת אשר קנאו לעשות צדקה ומשפט ונקמה בכל המתקוממים על ישראל:
and that Levi and his sons may be blessed for ever; for he was zealous to execute righteousness and judgment and vengeance on all those who arose against Israel.
וככה ירשם לאיש בעדות לוחות השמים ברכה וצדקה לפני אלוהי כל היקום וגם אנחנו ניזכור את הצדקה אשר עשה בחייו בכל עיתות השנה עד אלף דור:
And so they inscribe as a testimony in his favour on the heavenly tables blessing and righteousness before the God of all:
And we remember the righteousness which the man fulfilled during his life, at all periods of the year; until a thousand generations they will record it,
ברכה תוחק לו ותבאתהו לו ולזרעו אחריו ויכתב לידידיה ולצדיק על לוחות השמים:
and it will come to him and to his descendants after him, and he hath been recorded on the heavenly tables as a friend and a righteous man.
וכל המקרה הזה כתבתי לך וציויתי אותך לספר אותו באזני בני ישראל לבלתי יאשמו ולא יעברו חוק ולא יפרו את הברית אשר כרת עימהם לשמור אותה ולהכתב לידידים:
All this account I have written for thee, and have commanded thee to say to the children of Israel, that they should not commit sin nor transgress the ordinances nor break the covenant which hath been ordained for them, (but) that they should fulfil it and be recorded as friends.
ואם יעברו ועשו ככל דרכי הטומאה יכתבו על לוחות השמים לאויבים למען ימחו מספר החיים ויכתבו בספר הנכחדים והנכרתים מן הארץ:
But if they transgress and work uncleanness in every way, they will be recorded on the heavenly tables as adversaries, and they will be destroyed out of the book of life, and they will be recorded in the book of those who will be destroyed and with those who will be rooted out of the earth.
ביום אשר הרגו בני יעקב את אנשי שכם נרשם להם בספר בשמים אשר עשו צדקה ומשפט ונקמה בחטאים ונכתב להם לברכה:
And on the day when the sons of Jacob slew Shechem a writing was recorded in their favour in heaven that they had executed righteousness and uprightness and vengeance on the sinners, and it was written for a blessing.
ויקחו את דינה אחותם מבית שכם ויצאו:
And they brought Dinah, their sister, out of the house of Shechem,
וישובו ויבוזו את כל אשר היה בשכם את צאנם ואת בקרם ואת חמוריהם ואת כל רכושם ואת כל מקניהם ויביאו את הכל אל יעקב אביהם:
and they took captive everything that was in Shechem, their sheep and their oxen and their asses, and all their wealth, and all their flocks, and brought them all to Jacob their father.
וידבר אתם על אשר החריבו את העיר כי ירא מפני יושבי הארץ הכנעני והפריזי:
And he reproached them because they had put the city to the sword; for he feared those who dwelt in the land, the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
אכן היתה חיתת אלוהים על כל הערים אשר סביבות אנשי שכם ולא קמו לגרש את בני יעקב כי נפלה אימתה עליהם:
And the dread of the Lord was upon all the cities which are around about Shechem, and they did not rise to pursue after the sons of Jacob; for terror had fallen upon them.
