Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 28
1 Et il continua son voyage et arriva dans la terre de l’EST chez Laban le frère de Rébecca et il était avec lui et le servit pour Rachel sa fille, 1 semaine [d’années].
2 Et dans la 1e année de la 3e semaine, il lui dit : Donne-moi ma femme pour qui je t’ai servi 7 ans.
3 Et Laban dit à Jacob : Je te donnerai ta femme. Et Laban fit une fête mais il prit Léah sa fille aînée et [la] donna à Jacob pour femme ainsi que Zilpah sa servante comme servante, et Jacob ne le savait pas, car il pensait qu’elle était Rachel.
4 Et il vint en elle et voici elle était Léah et Jacob était en colère contre Laban et lui dit : Pourquoi as-tu agi comme ça avec moi ? Ne t’ai-je pas servi pour Rachel et non pour Léah ? Pourquoi m’as-tu trompé ? Prends ta fille et je partirai, car tu as mal agi avec moi.
5 Jacob aimait Rachel plus que Léah, car les yeux de Léah étaient faibles mais sa forme était très bien, mais Rachel avait de beaux yeux et une forme bien et très belle.
7 Et l’homme qui fait ça, ils placeront une faute contre lui dans le ciel et personne n’est justifié de faire cette chose, car son action est mauvaise devant 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH).
8 Et toi, commande aux enfants d’Israël qu’ils ne doivent pas faire cette chose ; ne les laisse ni prendre ou donner la plus jeune avant qu’ils aient donné la plus vieille, car c’est très méchant.
9 Et Laban dit à Jacob : Laisse passer les 7 jours de fête pour celle-ci et je te donnerai Rachel et que tu me serves un autre 7 ans ; pais mes moutons comme tu as fait la semaine précédente.
10 Et le jour que les 7 jours de fête furent passés, Laban donna Rachel à Jacob afin qu’il le serve un autre 7 ans et il donna Bilhah à Rachel, la sœur de Zilpah comme servante, et il servit un autre 7 ans pour Rachel, car Léah lui avait été donnée pour rien.
12 Et le 14e jour du 9e mois dans la 1e année de la 3e semaine, elle porta à Jacob un fils et il appela son nom Reuben.
13 Mais le ventre de Rachel était fermé, car 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) vit que Léah était haïe et Rachel aimée.
18 T’ai-je abandonné ? Et Rachel vit que Léah avait porté 4 fils à Jacob, Reuben et Siméon et Lévi et Judah, elle lui dit : Va en Bilhah ma servante et elle concevra et me portera un fils.
19 [Et elle lui donna Bilhah sa servante pour femme.] Et il alla en elle et elle conçut et le 9e jour du 6e mois de la 6e année de la 3e semaine elle lui porta un fils et il appela son nom Dan.
26 Et dans les jours que Joseph fut né, Jacob dit à Laban : Donne-moi mes femmes et fils et laisse-moi aller vers mon père Isaac et laisse-moi me construire une maison, car j’ai complété les années pour lesquelles je t’ai servi pour tes deux filles et j’irai dans la maison de mon père.
27 Et Laban dit à Jacob : Reste avec moi pour tes rétributions ; pais encore mon troupeau pour moi et prends tes rétributions.
28 Et ils se mirent d’accord l’un avec l’autre qu’il devait lui donner pour ses rétributions parmi les agneaux et petits, ceux qui naitront noirs et tachetés et blancs ; [ceux-là] seront ses rétributions de tout le troupeau emmené, tâché et tacheté et noir, différemment marqué, et ils emmenèrent encore les agneaux semblables et tout ce qui était tacheté furent à Jacob et ceux qui ne l’étaient pas étaient à Laban.
29 Et les possessions de Jacob multiplièrent extrêmement et il possédait des bœufs et moutons et des ânes et chameaux, et des serviteurs et servantes. Et Laban et ses fils envièrent Jacob, et Laban reprit ses moutons de lui et il l’observait en mauvaise intention.
וישא את רגליו וילך פדנה ארם ארצה לבן אחי רבקה קדמה:
And he went on his journey, and came to the land of the east, to Laban, the brother of Rebecca,
וישב איתו ויעבוד אותו ברחל אחת בנותיו:
and he was with him, and served him for Rachel his daughter one week.
ובשנה הראשונה לשבוע השלישי אמר אליו הבה את אשתי אשר עבדתי אותך בה שבע שנים:
And in the first year of the third week he said unto him: "Give me my wife, for whom I have served thee seven years;"
ויאמר לבן ליעקב אנכי אתן לך את אשתך:
and Laban said unto Jacob. "I will give thee thy wife."
ויעש לבן משתה ויקח את לאה בתו הגדולה ויתן אותה ליעקב לאשה ויתן לה את זלפה שפחתו לאמה:
And Laban made a feast, and took Leah his elder daughter, and gave (her) to Jacob as a wife, and gave her Zilpah his handmaid for an handmaid;
ולא ידע יעקב דבר כי אמר אך רחל היא ויבוא אליה והנה היא לאה:
and Jacob did not know, for he thought that she was Rachel.
And he went in unto her, and behold, she was Leah;
ויחר אף יעקב בלבן ויאמר אליו מדוע עשית כן הלא ברחל עבדתי עמך ולא בלאה למה רימיתני?
and Jacob was angry with Laban, and said unto him: "Why hast thou dealt thus with me? Did not I serve thee for Rachel and not for Leah? Why hast thou wronged me?
קח את בתך ואלכה לדרכי כי הרעות לעשות עמדי:
Take thy daughter, and I will go; for thou hast done evil to me."
כי יעקב אהב את רחל מלאה כי עיני לאה רכות אך בתוארה יפה מאוד ועיני רחל יפות והיא יפת תואר ויפת מראה:
For Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah; for Leah's eyes were weak, but her form was very handsome; but Rachel had beautiful eyes and a beautiful and very handsome form.
ויאמר לבן אל יעקב לא יעשה כן בארצנו לתת הצעירה לפני הבכירה וכן לא יעשה:
And Laban said to Jacob: "It is not so done in our country, to give the younger before the elder." And it is not right to do this;
כי כן נועד ונכתב על לוחות השמים ולא יצדק העושה זאת כי עשות הדבר הזה רע בעיני ה':
for thus it is ordained and written in the heavenly tables, that no one should give his younger daughter before the elder--but the elder one giveth first and after her the younger--and the man who doeth so, they set down guilt against him in heaven, and none is righteous that doeth this thing, for this deed is evil before the Lord....
וגם אתה צו את את בני ישראל לבל יעשו את הדבר הזה ולא יתנו הצעירה לפני הבכירה כי רע הדבר מאוד:
And command thou the children of Israel that they do not this thing; let them neither take nor give the younger before they have given the elder, for it is very wicked.
ויאמר לבן אל יעקב מלא שבעת ימי המשתה ואתנה לך את רחל בעבודה אשר תעבוד עמדי עוד שבע שנים אחרות לשמור צאני כאשר עשית בשבוע הראשון:
And Laban said to Jacob: "Let the seven days of the feast of this one pass by, and I shall give thee Rachel, that thou mayest serve me another seven years, that thou mayest pasture my sheep as thou didst in the former week."
ויהי כמלאת שבעת ימי המשתה ללאה ויתן לבן ליעקב את רחל בעבודה אשר יעבוד עמו שבע שנים אחרות:
And on the day when the seven days of the feast of Leah had passed, Laban gave Rachel to Jacob, that he might serve him another seven years,
ויתן לרחל את בלהה אחות זלפה לה לשפחה:
and he gave to Rachel Bilhah, the sister of Zilpah as a handmaid.
ויעבוד עמו עוד שבע שנים ברחל כי לאה ניתנה לו חינם:
And he served yet other seven years for Rachel, for Leah had been given to him for nothing.
ויפתח ה' את רחם לאה ותהר ותלד ליעקב בן ויקרא שמו ראובן בארבעה עשר יום לחודש התשיעי בשנה הראשונה לשבוע השלישי:
And the Lord opened the womb of Leah, and she conceived and bare Jacob a son, and he called his name Reuben, on the fourteenth day of the ninth month, in the first year of the third week.
ורחם רחל עצור כי ראה ה' כי שנואה לאה ורחל אהובה:
But the womb of Rachel was closed, for the Lord saw that Leah was hated and Rachel loved.
ויבוא יעקב עוד אל לאה ותהר ותלד ליעקב בן שני ויקרא שמו שמעון באחד ועשרים יום לחודש העשירי בשנה השלישית לשבוע ההוא:
And again Jacob went in unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob a second son, and he called his name Simeon, on the twenty-first of the tenth month, and in the third year of this week.
ויבוא יעקב עוד אל לאה ותהר ותלד לו בן שלישי ויקרא שמו לוי בראש החודש הראשון בשנה השישית לשבוע ההוא:
And again Jacob went in unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare him a third son, and he called his name Levi, in the new moon of the first month in the sixth year of this week.
ויבוא יעקב עוד אל לאה ותהר ותלד לו בן רביעי ויקרא שמו יהודה בחמישה עשר יום לחודש השלישי בשנה הראשונה לשבוע הרביעי:
And again Jacob went in unto her, and she conceived, and bare him a fourth son, and he called his name Judah, on the fifteenth of the third month, in the first year of the fourth week.
ועל כל זאת קנאה רחל בלאה בראותה כי לא ילדה ותאמר אל יעקב הבה לי בן:
And on account of all this Rachel envied Leah, for she did not bear, and she said to Jacob: "Give me children ";
ויאמר יעקב האנכי מנעתי ממך פרי בטן ואם אני עזבתיך:
and Jacob said: "Have I withheld from thee the fruits of thy womb? Have I forsaken thee?"
ותרא רחל כי ילדה לאה ליעקב ארבעה בנים ראובן שמעון לוי ויהודה ותאמר רחל אליו בוא אל אמתי בלהה ותהר ותלד לי בן:
And when Rachel saw that Leah had borne four sons to Jacob, Reuben and Simeon and Levi and Judah, she said unto him: "Go in unto Bilhah my handmaid, and she will conceive, and bear a son unto me."
ויבוא אליה ותהר ותלד לו בן ותקרא שמו דן בתשיעי לחודש השישי בשנה השישית לשבוע השלישי:
(And she gave (him) Bilhah her handmaid to wife.) And he went in unto her, and she conceived, and bare him a son, and he called his name Dan, on the ninth of the sixth month, in the sixth year of the third week.
ויבוא יעקב עוד אל בלהה ותהר ותלד ליעקב בן שני ותקרא רחל שמו נפתלי בחמישי לחודש השביעי בשנה השנית לשבוע הרביעי:
And Jacob went in again unto Bilhah a second time, and she conceived, and bare Jacob another son, and Rachel called his name Naphtali, on the fifth of the seventh month, in the second year of the fourth week.
ותרא לאה כי עקרה היא ועמדה מלדת ותקנא ותתן גם היא את זלפה שפחתה ליעקב לאשה:
And when Leah saw that she had become sterile and did not bear, she envied (Rachel) and she also gave her handmaid Zilpah to Jacob to wife,
ותהר ותלד בן ותקרא את שמו גד בשנים עשר יום לחודש השמיני בשנה השלישית לשבוע הרביעי:
and she conceived, and bare a son, and Leah called his name Gad, on the twelfth of the eighth month, in the third year of the fourth week.
ויבוא עוד אליה ותהר ותלד לו בן שני ותקרא לאה את שמו אשר ביום השני לחודש עשתי עשר בשנה החמישית לשבוע הרביעי:
And he went in again unto her, and she conceived, and bare him a second son, and Leah called his name Asher, on the second of the eleventh month, in the fifth year of the fourth week.
ויבוא יעקב אל לאה ותהר ותלד ליעקב בן ויקרא שמו יששכר ביום הרביעי לחודש החמישי בשנה הרביעית לשבוע הרביעי ותתן אותו אל האומנת:
And Jacob went in unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Issachar, on the fourth of the fifth month, in the fourth year of the fourth week, and she gave him to a nurse.
ויבוא יעקב עוד אליה ותהר ותלד שני ילדים בן ובת ותקרא את שמו זבולון ואת שם הבת דינה בשביעי לחודש השביעי בשנה השישית לשבוע הרביעי:
And Jacob went in again unto her, and she conceived, and bare two (children), a son and a daughter, and she called the name of the son Zebulon, and the name of the daughter Dinah, in the seventh of the seventh month, in the sixth year of the fourth week.
ואלוהים חנן את רחל ויפתח את רחמה ותהר ותלד בן ותקרא את שמו יוסף בראש החודש הרביעי בשנה השישית לשבוע הרביעי ההוא:
And the Lord was gracious to Rachel, and opened her womb, and she conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Joseph, on the new moon of the fourth month, in the sixth year in this fourth week.
ויהי כאשר נולד יוסף ויאמר יעקב אל לבן תנה לי את נשי ואת ילדי ואלכה אל יצחק אבי ויעשה לי בית:
And in the days when Joseph was born, Jacob said to Laban: "Give me my wives and sons, and let me go to my father Isaac, and let me make me an house;
כי מלאתי השנים בעבודתי אשר עבדתי עמך בשתי בנותיך ואלכה אל בית אבי:
for I have completed the years in which I have served thee for thy two daughters, and I will go to the house of my father."
ויאמר לבן אל יעקב שבה עמדי בשכרך ושוב רעה צאני וקח שכרך:
And Laban said to Jacob: "Tarry with me for thy wages, and pasture my flock for me again, and take thy wages."
ויקבו ביניהם כי יתן לו בשכרו מן הכשבים ומן העיזים כל זה חום וטלוא ולבן אשר יוולד יהיה שכרו:
And they agreed with one another that he should give him as his wages those of the lambs and kids which were born black and spotted and white, (these) were to be his wages.
ותלדנה הצאן כדמותן ולכולן היה התו אשר ליעקב ולא אשר ללבן:
And all the sheep brought forth spotted and speckled and black, variously marked, and they brought forth again lambs like themselves, and all that were spotted were Jacob's and those which were not were Laban's.
ויפרוץ מקנה יעקב ויהי לו בקר וצאן וחמורים וגמלים ועבדים ושפחות:
And Jacob's possessions multiplied exceedingly, and he possessed oxen and sheep and asses and camels, and menservants and maidservants.
ויקנאו לבן ובניו ביעקב ויסר לבן את צאנו ממנו ויתנכל להרע לו:
And Laban and his sons envied Jacob, and Laban took back his sheep from him, and he observed him with evil intent.
