Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 25
1 Et dans la 2e année de cette semaine de ce jubilé, Rébecca appela son fils Jacob et lui parla en disant : Mon fils, ne prends pas pour toi une femme des filles de Canaan comme Esau ton frère qui a pris deux femmes des filles de Canaan et elles rendent mon âme amère avec toutes leurs actions impures, car toutes leurs actions sont pour la fornication et la luxure et il n’y a pas de droiture en elles, car [leurs actions] sont mauvaises.
2 Et moi, mon fils, je t’aime extrêmement et l’affection de mon cœur te bénit chaque heure du jour et surveille durant la nuit.
3 Et maintenant mon fils, écoute ma voix et fais la volonté de ta mère et ne prends pas pour toi une femme des filles de cette terre mais seulement de la maison de mon père et de la famille de mon père.
4 Tu prendras pour toi une femme de la maison de mon père et le Plus-haut Elohim te bénira toi et tes enfants comme une descendance droite et une semence sainte.
5 Et alors Jacob parla à Rébecca sa mère et lui dit : Voici mère, je suis âgé de 9 semaines d’années et je n’ai ni connu ni touché de femme, non plus me suis-je engagé avec personne, ni même pensé prendre pour moi une femme des filles de Canaan, car je me souviens, mère, des paroles d’Abraham notre père quand il me commanda de ne pas prendre une femme des filles de Canaan mais de me prendre une femme de la semence de la maison de mon père et de ma famille.
6 J’ai entendu auparavant que des filles étaient nées à Laban ton frère et j’ai placé mon cœur en elles pour prendre une femme parmi elles et pour cette raison je me suis gardé dans mon souffle contre le péché ou de me corrompre dans toutes mes voies, tous les jours de ma vie ; vis-à-vis de la luxure et la fornication, Abraham mon père me donna plusieurs commandements et malgré tout ce qu’il m’a commandé ces 22 années, mon frère m’a souvent parlé et poussé en disant : Mon frère, prends pour femme une sœur de mes deux femmes.
7 Mais je refuse de faire comme il a fait. Je te jure mère que tous les jours de ma vie je ne prendrai pas pour moi une femme des filles de la semence de Canaan et je n’agirai pas mauvaisement comme mon frère a fait.
8 Ne crains pas mère, sois assurée que je ferai ta volonté et marcherai dans la droiture et ne corromprai pas mes voies jamais.
9 Et là-dessus elle leva son visage au ciel et étendit les doigts de ses mains et ouvrit sa bouche et bénit le Plus-haut Elohim qui a créé le ciel et la terre et elle le remercia et louangea et elle dit : Béni est 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) Elohim et son Saint Nom est béni pour toujours et à jamais, qui m’a donné Jacob comme un fils pur et une semence sainte, car il est tien et en lui sa semence sera continuellement et à travers toutes les générations pour toujours.
10 Bénis-le ô 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) et place dans ma bouche la bénédiction du juste que je puisse le bénir.
11 Et à cette heure, quand le Souffle de Justice descendit dans sa bouche, elle plaça ses deux mains sur la tête de Jacob et dit : Béni es-tu 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) de justice et Elohim des âges !
12 Qu’Il te bénisse par-dessus toutes les générations des hommes, qu’Il te donne, mon fils, la voie du juste et révèle la justice à ta semence et qu’il rende tes fils nombreux durant ta vie et qu’ils s’élèvent selon le nombre des mois de l’année.
13 Et que leurs fils soient nombreux et grands par-dessus les étoiles du ciel et que leurs nombres soient plus grands que le sable de la mer.
14 Et qu’Il leur donne cette bonne terre comme Il a dit qu’Il la donnerait à Abraham et à sa semence après lui toujours et qu’ils en aient possession pour toujours et que je vois [naître] pour toi mon fils des enfants bénis durant ma vie et que toute ta semence soit une semence sainte et bénie.
15 Et comme tu as renouvelé le souffle de ta mère durant sa vie, le ventre de celle qui t’a porté te bénit, [mon affection] et mes seins te bénissent et ma bouche et ma langue te louent grandement.
16 Augmente et répands-toi sur la terre et que ta semence soit parfaite dans la joie du ciel et de la terre pour toujours et que ta semence se réjouisse et qu’elle ait de la joie au grand jour de joie.
17 Et que ton nom et ta semence se perpétue dans tous les âges et que le Plus-haut Elohim soit leur Elohim et que l'Elohim de justice habite avec eux et que son sanctuaire soit construit par eux dans tous les âges.
18 Béni soit celui qui te bénira et que toute chair qui t’accuse faussement soit maudite.
19 Et elle l’embrassa et lui dit : Que le Seigneur du monde t’aime comme le cœur de ta mère pour son affection pour toi et te bénisse. Et elle cessa sa bénédiction.
ובשנה השנית לשבוע ההוא ביובל ההוא קראה רבקה אל יעקב ותדבר אתו לאמור:
And in the second year of this week in this jubilee, Rebecca called Jacob her son, and spake unto him, saying:
בני לא תקח לך אשה מבנות כנען כאשר עשה עשו אחיך בקחתו לו שתי נשים מזרע כנען:
"My son, do not take thee a wife of the daughters of Canaan, as Esau, thy brother, who took him two wives of the daughters of Canaan,
ותהיין לי מורת רוח בכל מעשיהן בטומאת ניאוף ובהוללות ואין צדק בהן כי אם רע פעלן:
and they have embittered my soul with all their unclean deeds: for all their deeds are fornication and lust, and there is no righteousness with them, for (their deeds) are evil.
ואני אהבתיך מאוד מאוד בני רחמי יברכוך בכל עת ובכל אשמורה בלילה:
And I, my son, love thee exceedingly, and my heart and my affection bless thee every hour of the day and watch of the night.
ועתה שמע בקולי ועשה רצון אמך ולא תקח לך אשה מבנות הארץ הזאת אם לא מבית אביך וממשפחת אביך:
And now, my son, hearken to my voice, and do the will of thy mother, and do not take thee a wife of the daughters of this land, but only of the house of my father,
קח לך אשה מבית אבי ואל עליון יברך אותך ובניך יהיו דור צדיק וזרעך קדוש יהיה:
and of my father's kindred. Thou wilt take thee a wife of the house of my father, and the Most High God will bless thee, and thy children will be a righteous generation and a holy seed."
אחרי כן דבר יעקב את רבקה אמו ויאמר אליה ראי נא אמי בן תשעה שבועים אנוכי היום ולא אדע אשה:
And then spake Jacob to Rebecca, his mother, and said unto her: "Behold, mother, I am nine weeks of years old,
לא קרבתי אל אשה ולא ארשתיה לי ולא יעלה על לבי לקחת לי אשה מאיזה זרע מבנות כנען:
and I neither know nor have I touched any woman, nor have I betrothed myself to any, nor even think of taking me a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
כי זכור אזכור את הדבר אשר דבר אברהם אבינו ואשר צוה עלי לבלתי קחת אשה מכל זרע בית כנען:
For I remember, mother, the words of Abraham, our father, for he commanded me not to take a wife of the daughters of Canaan,
כי אם מזרע בית אבי אקח לי אשה וממשפחתי:
but to take me a wife from the seed of my father's house and from my kindred.
שמעתי מאז כי נולדו בנות ללבן אחיך אליהן הכינותי את לבבי לקחת לי מהנה אשה:
I have heard before that daughters have been born to Laban, thy brother, and I have set my heart on them to take a wife from amongst them.
ועל כן נשמרתי ברוחי מחטוא ומהשחית את דרכי כל ימי חיי כי רבת צווה עלי אברהם אבי על דבר הוללות וניאוף:
And for this reason I have guarded myself in my spirit against sinning or being corrupted in all my ways throughout all the days of my life; for with regard to lust and fornication, Abraham, my father, gave me many commands.
ולמרות כל מצוותיו עלי נלחום נלחם אחי בי זה שתים ועשרים שנה ויפתני בשפתיו לאמור אחי קח לך אחת מאחיות שתי נשי לאשה:
And, despite all that he hath commanded me, these two and twenty years my brother hath striven with me, and spoken frequently to me and said: 'My brother, take to wife a sister of my two wives';
ואנוכי לא אעשה כאשר עשה אחי נשבעתי לך כי לא אקח לי אשה מזרע כל בנות כנען כל ימי חיי ולא ארע לעשות כאשר עשה אחי:
but I refuse to do as he hath done. I swear before thee, mother, that all the days of my life I will not take me a wife from the daughters of the seed of Canaan, and I will not act wickedly as my brother hath done.
אל תיראי אמי האמיני בי כי עשה אעשה רצונך ואתהלך במישרים ולא אשחית את דרכי לעולם:
Fear not, mother; be assured that I shall do thy will and walk in uprightness, and not corrupt my ways for ever."
אחרי כן נשאה את פניה השמימה ותפרוש אצבעות ידה ותפתח את פיה ותברך לאל עליון קונה שמים וארץ:
And thereupon she lifted up her face to heaven and extended the fingers of her hands, and opened her mouth and blessed the Most High God, who had created the heaven and the earth,
ותשלם לו תודה ותהלה ותאמר ברוך ה' אלוהי וברוך שמו לעולם כי נתן לי את יעקב בן תמים וזרע קדוש:
and she gave Him thanks and praise. And she said: "Blessed be the Lord God, and may His holy name be blessed for ever and ever, who hath given me Jacob as a pure son and a holy seed;
כי לך הוא ולך זרעו לנצח בכל דורות עולמים ברך אותו מלך העולם ושים ברכת צדקה בפי למען אברכהו:
for He is Thine, and Thine shall his seed be continually and throughout all the generations for evermore.
Bless him, O Lord, and place in my mouth the blessing of righteousness, that I may bless him."
בעצם העת הזאת נחה רוח ה' בפיה ותשת שתי ידיה על ראש יעקב ותאמר:
And at that hour, when the spirit of righteousness descended into her mouth, she placed both her hands on the head of Jacob, and said:
ברוך אתה אדון הצדקה ואלוהי העולמים ואותך יברכו אנשי כל דור ודור:
"Blessed art thou, Lord of righteousness and God of the ages; And may He bless thee beyond all the generations of men.
יתן לך בני דרך הצדקה ולזרעך יגלה כבוד הצדקה וירבה בניך בימי חייך ויצב אותם למספר חדשי השנה:
May He give thee, my son, the path of righteousness, And reveal righteousness to thy seed.
And may He make thy sons many during thy life, And may they arise according to the number of the months of the year.
ויפרו בניהם וירבו מכוכבי השמים ויעצם מספרם מחול הים:
And may their sons become many and great beyond the stars of heaven, And their numbers be more than the sand of the sea.
יתן:
And may He give
את הארץ הפוריה הזאת כאשר אמר לתת אותה לאברהם ולזרעו אחריו לעד ולרשתם אותה לעולם:
them this goodly land--as He said He would give it to Abraham and to his seed after him alway -- And may they hold it as a possession for ever.
ותחזינה עיני בך בני בן מבורך בימי חיי ולזרע קדוש יהי כל זרעך:
And may I see (born) unto thee, my son, blessed children during my life, And a blessed and holy seed may all thy seed be.
וכאשר הניחתך רוח אמך בימי חייה בחיק הורתך כן יברכוך רחמי אף קרבי יברך אותך ופי ולשוני יכבדוך:
And as thou hast refreshed thy mother's spirit during my life, The womb of her that bare thee blesseth thee, [My affection] and my breasts bless thee And my mouth and my tongue praise thee greatly.
ורבית ופרית ופרצת בארץ והיה זרעך תמים בשמחת שמים וארץ לעולם ועד:
Increase and spread over the earth, And may thy seed be perfect in the joy of heaven and earth for ever;
וזרעך יגל וביום השלום הגדול יירש את שלום שמך:
And may thy seed rejoice, And on the great day of peace may it have peace.
וזרעך יעמוד לעולמי עד ואל עליון יהיה להם לאלוהים ואל עליון ישכון בתוכם ובקרבם יבנה מקדשו לעולם ועד:
And may thy name and thy seed endure to all the ages, And may the Most High God be their God, And may the God of righteousness dwell with them, And by them may His sanctuary be built unto all the ages.
מברכך ברוך וכל בשר מקללך בשקר יואר:
Blessed be he that blesseth thee, And all flesh that curseth thee falsely may it be cursed."
ותישקהו ותאמר לו אלוהי עולם יאהב אותך כלב אמך וכרחמיה ישיש עליך ויברכך:
And she kissed him, and said to him "May the Lord of the world love thee As the heart of thy mother and her affection rejoice in thee and bless thee." And she ceased from blessing.
