Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 23
1 Et il plaça deux doigts sur les yeux de Jacob et bénit l'Elohim des elohim et il couvrit sa face et étendit ses pieds et dormit du sommeil éternel et fut réuni à ses pères.
2 Et ne sachant rien de cela, Jacob était étendu sur sa poitrine et ne savait pas qu’Abraham le père de son père était mort.
3 Et Jacob se réveilla de son sommeil et voici, Abraham était froid comme la glace et il dit : Père, père ! Mais il n’y avait personne pour répondre et il sut qu’il était mort.
4 Et il se releva de sa poitrine et courut le dire à Rébecca sa mère et Rébecca alla vers Isaac dans la nuit lui dire et ils allèrent ensemble et Jacob avec eux, une lampe à la main, et quand ils entrèrent ils trouvèrent Abraham mort allongé.
5 Et Isaac tomba sur la face de son père et pleura et l’embrassa. Et les voix se firent entendre dans la maison d’Abraham et Ishmaël son fils se leva et alla vers Abraham son père et pleura sur son père Abraham, lui et toute la maison d’Abraham et ils pleurèrent d’une grande lamentation.
6 Et ses fils Isaac et Ishmaël l’enterrèrent dans la double cave près de Sarah sa femme, et tous les hommes de sa maison et Isaac et Ishmaël et tous leurs fils, et tous les fils de Keturah de leurs places le pleurèrent pendant 40 jours et alors les jours de deuil pour Abraham se terminèrent.
7 Et il vécut 3 jubilés et 4 semaines d’années, 175 ans, et compléta les jours de sa vie dans la vieillesse et plein de jours.
9 Et voici, il ne compléta pas 4 jubilés de sa vie, car il vieillit à cause de la cruauté et était plein de ses jours.
10 Et toutes les générations qui se lèveront de cette période jusqu’aux jours du grand jugement vieilliront rapidement avant de compléter 2 jubilés, et leur connaissance les abandonnera en raison de leur vieil âge [et leur connaissance sera complètement dissipée].
11 Et en ces jours, si un homme vit 1 jubilé et demi d’années, ils diront à son sujet qu’il a vécu longtemps, mais la plus grande partie de sa vie fut dans la peine, le chagrin et le malheur et cela sans paix.
12 Car calamité suivra calamité et blessure sur blessure et malheur sur malheur et mauvaises nouvelles sur mauvaises nouvelles et maladie sur maladie et tous les mauvais jugements comme ceux-là, l’un après l’autre, maladie et renversement et neige et gel et glace et fièvre et froideurs et torpeur et famine et mort et épée et captivité et toutes sortes de calamités et souffrances.
13 Et tout ceci viendra sur une génération cruelle qui transgresse sur terre ; leurs travaux sont les impuretés et la fornication et la pollution et les abominations.
14 Alors ils diront : Les jours de nos ancêtres étaient nombreux jusqu’à 1 000 années [même] et étaient bons, mais voici les jours de notre vie sont de 70 ans si un homme a beaucoup vécu, et de 80 ans s’il est fort, et pour les mauvais, il n’y a pas de paix durant les jours de cette génération mauvaise.
15 Et dans cette génération, les fils accuseront leurs pères et leurs anciens de péché, d’injustice et des paroles de leur bouche et la grande cruauté qu’ils perpétrèrent, et concernant leur abandon de l’alliance que 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) fit entre Lui et eux, qu’ils devaient observer et appliquer tous ses commandements et ses ordonnances et toutes ses lois sans se détourner vers la [main] droite ou la gauche. Car tous ont fait le mal et toute bouche parle injustement et tous leurs travaux sont en impureté et en abomination et toutes leurs voies sont pollutions, impureté et destruction.
16 Voici, la terre sera détruite à cause de tous leurs travaux et il n’y aura aucune semence de la vigne et ni d’huile, car leurs travaux sont tous entièrement infidèles et ils périront tous ensemble, bêtes et bétail, oiseaux et tout le poisson de la mer à cause des enfants des hommes.
17 Et ils s’efforceront l’un avec l’autre au sujet de la Torah et de l’Alliance, le jeune avec le vieux et le vieux avec le jeune, le pauvre avec le riche, le petit avec le grand, et le mendiant avec le prince, car ils auront oublié commandement et alliance, fêtes, mois, shabbats et jubilés et tous les jugements.
18 Et ils prendront les épées et partiront en guerre pour les faire revenir sur la voie mais ils ne retourneront pas jusqu’à ce que beaucoup de sang soit versé sur terre, l’un par l’autre.
19 Et ceux qui auront échappé ne se détourneront pas de leur malveillance vers la voie de la justice mais tous s’exalteront à trahir et à s’enrichir afin que chacun puisse prendre tout ce qui est à son prochain, et ils se nommeront de grand nom mais sans vérité et ni droiture et ils corrompront le saint des saints avec leur impureté et la corruption de leur pollution.
20 Et un grand châtiment de 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) réduira les moyens de cette génération et Il les donnera à l’épée et au jugement et à la captivité pour être pillés et dévorés.
21 Et Il réveillera contre eux les pécheurs parmi les nations, qui n’ont ni pitié ni compassion et qui ne respectent aucune personne, ni vieux ni jeune ni quiconque, car ils sont mauvais et fort à faire le mal plus que tous les enfants des hommes.
22 Ils useront de violence contre Israël et de transgression contre Jacob et beaucoup de sang sera versé sur la terre et il n’y aura personne pour rassembler et personne pour enterrer.
23 Dans ces jours ils crieront fort et appelleront et prieront afin qu’ils puissent être saufs de la main des pécheurs les nations, mais personne ne sera sauvé.
24 Et les têtes des enfants deviendront blanches avec des cheveux gris et un enfant de 3 semaines semblera aussi vieux qu’un homme de 100 ans, et leur stature sera détruite par le malheur et l’oppression.
25 Et en ces jours, les enfants commenceront à étudier les lois et à rechercher les commandements et à retourner sur le chemin de la justice.
26 Et les jours commenceront à beaucoup augmenter et à monter parmi les enfants des hommes jusqu’à ce que leurs jours approchent 1 000 années et à un plus grand nombre d’années qu’était le nombre des jours [avant].
27 Et il n’y aura plus de vieil homme, ni un qui soit satisfait de ses jours, car tous seront [comme] des enfants et des jeunes.
28 Et tous leurs jours seront complétés et ils vivront de paix et joie et il n’y aura pas satan (l'adversaire) ni aucun mauvais destructeur, car tous leurs jours seront des jours de bénédiction et de guérison.
29 Et dans ce temps 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) guérira ses serviteurs qui se lèveront pour voir la grande paix et se dégageront de leurs adversaires.
30 Et les justes verront et seront reconnaissants et se réjouiront de joie pour toujours et à jamais et verront tous leurs jugements et toutes leurs malédictions sur leurs ennemis.
31 Et leurs os demeureront sur la terre et leurs souffles auront beaucoup de joie et ils connaitront que c’est 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) qui exécute le jugement et démontre miséricorde aux centaines et milliers et à tous ceux qui l’aiment.
32 Et toi Moïse, écris ces paroles, car ainsi sont-elles écrites et gravées sur les tablettes célestes, en témoignage pour les générations pour toujours.
וישת שתי אצבעות יעקב על עיניו ויברך לאלוהי האלוהים ויכס פניו:
And he placed two fingers of Jacob on his eyes, and he blessed the God of gods, and he covered his face
ויפשוט את רגליו ויישן שנת עולם ויאסף אל אבותיו:
and stretched out his feet and slept the sleep of eternity, and was gathered to his fathers.
ויעקב שוכב בחיקו ולא ידע כי מת אברהם אביו:
And notwithstanding all this Jacob was lying in his bosom, and knew not that Abraham, his father's father, was dead.
וייקץ יעקב משנתו והנה קר אברהם כקרח ויאמר אבי אבי ולא ענה אותו דבר:
And Jacob awoke from his sleep, and behold Abraham was cold as ice, and he said: "Father, father!"; but there was none that spake,
וידע כי מת אברהם ויקם וירץ ויגד את הדבר לרבקה אמו:
and he knew that he was dead. And he arose from his bosom and ran and told Rebecca, his mother;
ותלך רבקה אל יצחק בלילה ותגד לו:
and Rebecca went to Isaac in the night and told him;
ויבואו יחדו עם יעקב ונר בידו ויהי כבואם הביתה וימצאו גוית אברהם על משכבו:
and they went together, and Jacob with them, and a lamp was in his hand, and when they had gone in they found Abraham lying dead.
ויפול יצחק על פני אביו ויבך ויברכהו וישקהו והקול נשמע בית אברהם:
And Isaac fell on the face of his father, and wept and kissed him. And the voices were heard in the house of Abraham
ויקם בנו ויבוא אל אברהם אביו ויבך את אברהם אביו הוא וכל בית אברהם ויבכו בכיה גדולה:
and Ishmael his son arose, and went to Abraham his father, and wept over Abraham his father, he and all the house of Abraham, and they wept with a great weeping.
ויקברו אותו יצחק וישמעאל בניו אל מערת המכפלה אצל שרה אשתו:
And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the double cave, near Sarah his wife,
ויבכו אותו ארבעים יום כל אנשי ביתו יצחק וישמעאל עם כל בניהם ובני קטורה במקומותיהם ויתמו ימי בכי אבל אברהם:
and they wept for him forty days, all the men of his house, and Isaac and Ishmael, and all their sons, and all the sons of Keturah in their places, and the days of weeping for Abraham were ended.
ויחי שלושה יובלים וארבעה שבועים מאה שנה ושבעים שנה וחמש שנים וימלאו ימיו:
And he lived three jubilees and four weeks of years, one hundred and seventy-five years, and completed the days of his life, being old and full of days.
כי ימי האבות הראשונים מלאו תשעה עשר יובלים אך אחרי ימי המבול החלו לחסור ולגרוע ממספר תשעת עשר יובלים:
For the days of the forefathers, of their life, were nineteen jubilees; and after the Flood they began to grow less than nineteen jubilees,
וימהרו להיות זקנים ושבעי ימים עקב הצרות הרבות ובגלל רעת דרכיהם:
and to decrease in jubilees, and to grow old quickly, and to be full of their days by reason of manifold tribulation and the wickedness of their ways,
בלעדי אברהם כי אברהם היה תמים בכל מעשיו את האלוהים ורצוי לפניו בצדקה כל ימי חייו:
with the exception of Abraham.
For Abraham was perfect in all his deeds with the Lord, and well-pleasing in righteousness all the days of his life;
והנה לא מלאו לו ארבעה יובלים בחייו ויזקן מפני הרעה ויהי שבע ימים:
and behold, he did not complete four jubilees in his life, when he had grown old by reason of the wickedness and was full of his days.
וכל הדורות אשר יקומו מעתה עד יום המשפט הגדול ימהרו להזקון לפני מלאת להם שבועיים:
And all the generations which will arise from this time until the day of the great judgment will grow old quickly, before they complete two jubilees,
ובהעזב מהם גם מדעם לעת זקנתם תלך גם כל חכמתם הלוך וחסור:
and their knowledge will forsake them by reason of their old age [and all their knowledge will vanish away].
ובימים ההם כי יחיה איש יובל וחצי אז יאמרו עליו כי האריך ימים:
And in those days, if a man live a jubilee and a half of years, they will say regarding him: "He hath lived long,
אבל מרבית ימי חייו יהיו מכאובים ועמל וצרה ואין שלום:
and the greater part of his days are pain and sorrow and tribulation, and there is no peace:
כי הוה על הוה פגע על פגע צרה על צרה רעה על רעה מחלה על מחלה וכל שפטים רעים כאלה יחד יבואו:
For calamity followeth on calamity, and wound on wound, and tribulation on tribulation, and evil tidings on evil tidings, and illness on illness, and all evil judgments such as these, one with another,
מדוה וכאב בטן וברד וקרח ושלג וכפור ומכאובים וקפאון ומות וחרב ושבי וכל עונש וצוקה:
illness and overthrow, and snow and frost and ice, and fever, and chills, and torpor, and famine, and death, and sword, and captivity, and all kinds of calamities and pains."
כל זאת בוא תבוא על הדור הרע הממלא את הארץ חמס בטומאת הזנונים והשימצה ובתועבת מעשיהם:
And all these will come on an evil generation, which transgresseth on the earth: their works are uncleanness and fornication, and pollution and abominations.
ואז יאמרו האבות הראשונים האריכו חייהם עד אלף שנים וחיו בטוב וימי חיינו בהאריכם שבעים שנה ואם בגבורות שמונים שנה ורהבם עמל:
Then they will say: "The days of the forefathers were many (even), unto a thousand years, and were good; but, behold, the days of our life, if a man hath lived many, are three score years and ten, and, if he is strong, four score years, and those evil
ולא יהיה שלום בימי הדור הרע ההוא:
and there is no peace in the days of this evil generation."
ובדור ההוא יריבו הבנים באבותיהם ובזקניהם מפני החטא והעול ודבר פיהם:
And in that generation the sons will convict their fathers and their elders of sin and unrighteousness, and of the words of their mouth
ומפני הרעות הגדולות אשר המה עושים כי עזבו את הברית אשר עשה ה' ביניהם ובינו לשמור ולעשות את כל מצוותיו וחוקותיו וכל תורתו לבלתי סור שמאל וימין:
and the great wickednesses which they perpetrate, and concerning their forsaking the covenant which the Lord made between them and Him, that they should observe and do all His commandments and His ordinances and all His laws, without departing either to the right hand or to the left.
עד אשר ירעו כולם את מעשיהם וכל פה דובר נבלה וכל מעשם טמא ותועבה וכל דרכיהם שמצה וטומאה ושחת:
For all have done evil, and every mouth speaketh iniquity and all their works are an uncleanness and an abomination, and all their ways are pollution, uncleanness and destruction.
הנה תאבד הארץ מפני כל עלילותיהם ולא יהיה עוד מזרע יין ושמן כי כל מעשיהם אך רשע וכסל:
Behold the earth will be destroyed on account of all their works, and there will be no seed of the vine, and no oil; for their works are altogether faithless,
וכולם יחדו יסופו חיתו יער ובהמות שדי ועוף השמים וכל דגי הים מרעת בני אדם:
and they will all perish together, beasts and cattle and birds, and all the fish of the sea, on account of the children of men.
ונלחמו איש באחיו ואיש ברעהו הבחורים בזקנים והזקנים בבחורים העניים בעשירים והנקלים בנכבדים וההלך בנשיאים:
And they will strive one with another, the young with the old, and the old with the young, the poor with the rich, and the lowly with the great, and the beggar with the prince,
על דבר התורה והברית כי שכחו את מצוותיו ואת הברית ואת המועדים וראשי החודשים ואת השבתות והיובלים ואת כל משפט:
on account of the law and the covenant; for they have forgotten commandment, and covenant, and feasts, and months, and Sabbaths, and jubilees, and all judgments.
והתקוממו בחרבות ובקשתות להשיב אותם אל הדרך ולא ישובו עד אשר ישפך דם רב על הארץ:
And they will stand (with bows and) swords and war to turn them back into the way; but they will not return until much blood hath been shed on the earth,
יד איש באחיו והנשארים לא ישובו אל דרך הצדקה מרעתם:
one by another.
And those who have escaped will not return from their wickedness to the way of righteousness,
כי כולם יקומו לחמוס הון ולרשת דבר לא להם ולעשות להם שם גדול ולא באמת ובאמונה:
but they will all exalt themselves to deceit and wealth, that they may each take all that is his neighbour's, and they will name the great name, but not in truth and not in righteousness,
ואת כל קודש יחללו בחלאת טומאתם ותועבתם:
and they will defile the holy of holies with their uncleanness and the corruption of their pollution.
ובא משפט גדול על מעשי הדור ההוא מאת ה' ונתנם לחרב ולמשפט ולשבי ולמשיסה ולמאכל:
And a great punishment will befall the deeds of this generation from the Lord, and He will give them over to the sword and to judgment and to captivity, and to be plundered and devoured.
ועורר עליהם חטאים אשר לא יחוסו ולא ירחמו ולא ישאו פני כל איש זקן ונער אנשים רעים ועריצים למען ירעו לעשות מכל בני אדם:
And He will wake up against them the sinners of the Gentiles, who have neither mercy nor compassion, and who will respect the person of none, neither old nor young, nor any one, for they are more wicked and strong to do evil than all the children of men.
ועשו חמס בישראל ופשעו ביעקב ודם רב ישפך על הארץ ואין מאסף ואין קרוב:
And they will use violence against Israel and transgression against Jacob, And much blood will be shed upon the earth, And there will be none to gather and none to bury.
בימים ההם יזעקו ויקראו ויתחננו לפדותם מיד הגוים החטאים ואין מציל:
In those days they will cry aloud, And call and pray that they may be saved from the hand of the sinners, the Gentiles; But none will be saved.
וראשי הילדים ילבינו שערם משיבה וילד בן שלושה שבועים יתראה זקן כבן מאה שנה וקומתם תאבד בצרה ובמצוקה:
And the heads of the children will be white with grey hair, And a child of three weeks will appear old like a man of one hundred years, And their stature will be destroyed by tribulation and oppression.
ובימים ההם יחלו הבנים לעזוב את חוקיהם ולדרוש את המצוות ולשוב אל דרך הצדקה:
And in those days the children will begin to study the laws, And to seek the commandments, And to return to the path of righteousness.
והימים יחלו להאריך ובני אדם יזקינו מדור דור ומיום ליום עד אשר יקרבו ימי חייהם לאלף שנים ועד אשר ירביון עתה הימים מן השנים לפנים:
And the days will begin to grow many and increase amongst those children of men, Till their days draw nigh to one thousand years, And to a greater number of years than (before) was the number of the days.
ולא יהיה זקן ושבע ימים כי כולם יהיו כילדים וכנערים ויבלו כל ימיהם בשלום ובשמחה:
And there will be no old man Nor one who is not satisfied with his days, For all will be (as) children and youths.
And all their days they will complete and live in peace and in joy,
ויחיו באין שטן ובאין משחית כי כל ימיהם יהיו ימי ברכה ותרופה:
And there will be no Satan nor any evil destroyer; For all their days will be days of blessing and healing,
בעת ההיא ירפא ה' את עבדיו והתרוממו וחזו שלות השקט לנצח ושבו ורדפו את אויביהם:
And at that time the Lord will heal His servants, And they will rise up and see great peace, And drive out their adversaries.
וראו את הדבר הזה והודו ושמחו ברנה עד עולם:
And the righteous will see and be thankful, And rejoice with joy for ever and ever,
וראו באויביהם את כל שפטיהם הרעים ואת כל תאלתם ועצמותיהם תשכונה עפר ורוחם ישיש בשמחה:
And will see all their judgments and all their curses on their enemies.
וידעו כי ה' עושה המשפט ועושה חסד למאות ולאלפים ולכל אוהביו:
And their bones will rest in the earth, And their spirits will have much joy, And they will know that it is the Lord who executeth judgment, And showeth mercy to hundreds and thousands and to all that love Him.
ואתה משה כתב לך את הדבר הזה כי כן נזכר בעדות לוחות השמים לדורות עולם:
And do thou, Moses, write down these words; for thus are they written, and they record (them) on the heavenly tables for a testimony for the generations for ever.
