Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 18

1 Et Elohim lui dit : Abraham, Abraham ! Et il dit : Voici, Je suis [ici] ! 

2 Et il dit : Prends ton fils bien-aimé que tu aimes le plus, Isaac [même], et va vers cette haute contrée et offre-le sur l’une des montagnes que Je te pointerai. 

3 Et il se leva tôt le matin et sella son âne et prit deux de ses jeunes hommes avec lui et Isaac son fils et coupa le bois du sacrifice au feu et il alla à l’endroit le 3e jour et il vit l’endroit de l’autel. 

4 Et il alla au puits d’eau et il dit à ses jeunes hommes : Restez ici avec l’âne et moi et le garçon irons [là-haut] et nous reviendrons vers vous après avoir adoré. 

5 Et il prit le bois du sacrifice au feu et le déposa auprès de Isaac son fils et il prit dans sa main le feu et le couteau et ils allèrent tout d’eux ensemble à cet endroit.

6 Et Isaac dit à son père : Père ! Et il dit : Je suis ici mon fils. 

7 Et il lui dit : Voici le feu et le couteau et le bois, mais où est le mouton pour le sacrifice au feu, père ? 

8 Et il dit : Elohim fournira pour lui-même un mouton pour un sacrifice au feu, mon fils. Et il s’approcha près de l’endroit du mont d'Elohim. 

9 Et il construisit un autel et il plaça le bois sur l’autel et attacha Isaac son fils et le plaça sur le bois qui était sur l’autel et étendit ses mains pour prendre le couteau pour tuer Isaac son fils. 

10 Et Je me tins devant lui et devant le prince mastema et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) dit : Ordonne-lui de ne pas mettre la main sur le garçon, ni de ne rien faire contre lui, car J’ai démontré qu’il craint 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH).

11 Et je l’appelai du ciel et lui dit : Abraham, Abraham ! Et il était terrifié et dit : Voici, je suis [ici]. 

12 Et je lui dis : Ne porte pas ta main sur le garçon, ne fais rien contre lui, car j’ai maintenant démontré que tu crains 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) et n’as pas retenu de Moi ton fils, ton fils premier-né. 

13 Et le prince mastema fut mis dans la honte et Abraham leva ses yeux et voici un bélier […] en capture par ses cornes et Abraham alla et prit le bélier et l’offrit en sacrifice au feu à la place de son fils. 

14 Et Abraham appela cet endroit, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) Voit, ainsi qu’il est dit, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) l'a vu depuis le mont Sion.

15 Et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) appela Abraham du ciel une seconde fois par son nom et Il nous fit apparaître pour lui parler au nom de 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) et Il dit : Par Moi-même Je l’ai juré, dit 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH)  parce que tu as fait cette chose et n’as pas retenu de Moi ton fils, ton fils bien-aimé, qu’en bénédiction Je te bénirai et en multiplication Je multiplierai ta semence comme les étoiles du ciel et comme le sable qui est sur la plage. 

16 Et ta semence héritera des villes de ses ennemis et en ta semence seront bénies toutes les nations de la terre parce que tu as obéi à ma voix et J’ai montré à tous que tu m’es fidèle dans tout ce que Je t’ai dit. Va en paix !

17 Et Abraham alla vers ses jeunes hommes et ils se levèrent et allèrent ensemble à Beer-sheva et Abraham habita près du puits du serment et chaque année il célébra cette fête 7 jours avec joie et il l’appela la Fête de 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) conformément aux 7 jours durant lesquelles il alla et revint en paix. 

18 Et ainsi il a été ordonné et écrit sur les tablettes célestes concernant Israël et sa semence qu’ils doivent observer cette fête 7 jours avec joie de fête.

ויאמר ה' אל אברהם לאמור אברהם ויאמר הנני:
And God said to him, "Abraham, Abraham"; and he said, "Behold, (here) am I."
ויאמר אליו קח את בנך האהוב את יצחק ולך לך אל הר גבוה והעלהו על אחד ההרים אשר אומר אליך:
And He said, "Take thy beloved son whom thou lovest, (even) Isaac, and go unto the high country, and offer him on one of the mountains which I will point out unto thee."
וישכם משם בבוקר ויחבוש את אתונו ויקח את שני נעריו אתו ואת יצחק בנו ויבקע עצי עולה וילך אל המקום בשלושה ימים וירא את המקום מרחוק:
And he rose early in the morning and saddled his ass, and took his two young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood of the burnt-offering, and he went to the place on the third day, and he saw the place afar off.
ויבוא אל באר מים ויאמר אל נעריו שבו לכם פה עם האתון ואני והילד נלכה עד כה ונשתחוה ונשובה אליכם:
And he came to a well of water, and he said to his young men, "Abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad shall go (yonder), and when we have worshipped we shall come again to you."

ויקח את עצי העולה וישם על שכם יצחק בנו ויקח בידו את האש ואת המאכלת וילכו שניהם יחדו עד המקום ההוא:
And he took the wood of the burnt-offering and laid it on Isaac his son, and he took in his hand the fire and the knife, and they went both of them together to that place.

ויאמר יצחק אל אביו ויאמר אבי ויאמר הנני בני ויאמר הנה המאכלת והעצים ואיה השה לעולה אבי:
And Isaac said to his father, "Father"; and he said, "Here am I, my son." And he said unto him, "Behold the fire, and the knife, and the wood; but where is the sheep for the burnt-offering, father?"
ויאמר אלוהים יראה לו שה לעולה בני ויבוא עד מקום הר האלוהים:
And he said, "God will provide for himself a sheep for a burnt-offering, my son." And he drew near to the place of the mount of God.
ויבן מזבח ויערוך את העצים על המזבח וישא את יצחק בנו וישימהו על העצים ממעל למזבח:
And he built an altar, and he placed the wood on the altar, and bound Isaac his son, and placed him on the wood which was upon the altar,
וישלח את ידו לקחת את המאכלת לשחוט את יצחק בנו:
and stretched forth his hand to take the knife to slay Isaac his son.
ואנוכי עומד לפניו ולפני השר משטמה ויאמר ה' אמור אליו לבל ישלח ידו אל הילד ואל יעש לו מאומה כי ידעתי כי ירא אלוהים הוא:
And I stood before him, and before the prince of the Mastêmâ, and the Lord said, "Bid him not to lay his hand on the lad, nor to do anything to him, for I have shown that he feareth the Lord."
ואקרא אליו מן השמים ואומר אליו אברהם אברהם ויחרד ויאמר הנני:
And I called to him from heaven, and said unto him: "Abraham, Abraham"; and he was terrified and said: "Behold, (here) am I."

ויאמר אליו אל תשלח ידך אל הילד ואל תעש לו מאומה כי עתה ידעתי כי ירא אלוהים אתה ולא חשכת את בנך את בכורך ממני:
And I said unto him: "Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything to him; for now I have shown that thou fearest the Lord, and hast not withheld thy son, thy first-born son, from me."
וכלימה כסתה את פני משטמה השר:
And the prince of the Mastêmâ was put to shame;
וישא אברהם את עיניו וירא והנה איל נאחז בקרניו וילך אברהם ויקח את האיל ויעלהו לעולה תחת בנו:
and Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, a single ram caught . . . by his horns, and Abraham went and took the ram and offered it for a burnt-offering in the stead of his son.
ויקרא אברהם שם המקום ההוא ה' ראהו אשר יאמר ה' ראהו הוא הר ציון:
And Abraham called that place "The Lord hath seen," so that it is said "(in the mount) the Lord hath seen": that is Mount Sion.
ויקרא ה' אל אברהם שנית בשם מן השמים כאשר צוני לדבר אליו בשם ה':
And the Lord called Abraham by his name a second time from heaven, as he caused us to appear to speak to him in the name of the Lord.
ויאמר בראשי נשבעתי נאום ה' כי יען אשר עשית את הדבר הזה ולא חשכת ממני את בנך את בכורך אשר אהבת:
And He said: "By Myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, Because thou hast done this thing, And hast not withheld thy son, thy beloved son,

כי ברך אברכך באמת והרבה ארבה את זרעך ככוכבי השמים וכחול אשר על שפת הים ויירש זרעך את שער אויביו:
from Me, That in blessing I shall bless thee And in multiplying I shall multiply thy seed As the stars of heaven, And as the sand which is on the seashore. And thy seed will inherit the cities of its enemies,
והתברכו בזרעך כל גויי הארץ עקב אשר שמעת בקולי והראית לכל כי נאמן אתה לי בכל אשר צויתיך לך לשלום:
And in thy seed will all nations of the earth be blessed; Because thou hast obeyed My voice, And I have shown to all that thou art faithful unto Me in all that I have said unto thee: Go in peace."
וילך אברהם אל נעריו ויקומו וילכו יחדו אל באר שבע וישב אברהם אצל הבאר שבעה:
And Abraham went to his young men, and they arose and went together to Beersheba, and Abraham dwelt by the Well of the Oath.
ויעש את החג הזה מימים ימימה בשמחה שבעה ימים ויקרא לו חג ה' כפי שבעת הימים אשר הלך שמה וישב בשלום:
And he celebrated this festival every year, seven days with joy, and he called it the festival of the Lord according to the seven days during which he went and returned in peace.
ובכן נועד ונכתב על לוחות השמים לישראל ולזרעו לעשות את החג הזה שבעה ימים בשמחה:
And accordingly hath it been ordained and written on the heavenly tables regarding Israel and its seed that they should observe this festival seven days with the joy of festival.
