Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 17

1 Dans la 1e année de la 5e semaine de ce jubilé, Isaac fut sevré et Abraham fit un grand banquet dans le 3e mois, le jour que son fils Isaac fut sevré. 

2 Et Ishmaël le fils d’Hagar l’égyptienne était à sa place devant la face d’Abraham son père et Abraham se réjouissait et bénissait Elohim, car il avait vu ses fils et ne mourrait pas sans enfant. 

3 Et il se souvint des paroles que 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) lui avait dit le jour que Lot se sépara de lui et il se réjouit parce qu’il lui avait donné une semence sur la terre pour hériter la terre et il bénit le Créateur de toutes choses de toute sa bouche. 

4 Et Sarah vit Ishmaël jouant et dansant et Abraham se réjouissant de grande joie et elle devint jalouse de Ishmaël et dit à Abraham : Chasse cette servante et son fils, car le fils de cette servant n’héritera pas avec mon fils Isaac. 

5 Et la chose fut terrible aux yeux d’Abraham au sujet de cette esclave et au sujet de son fils qu’il doive les écarter de lui. 

6 Et Elohim dit à Abraham : Que ce ne soit pas terrible à tes yeux pour l’enfant et pour l’esclave ; tout ce que Sarah te dira, écoute ses paroles et fais-[les], car en Isaac sera ton nom et semence déclarés. 

7 Mais pour le fils de cette esclave, je ferai de lui une grande nation parce qu’il est de ta semence.

8 Et Abraham se leva tôt le matin et prit du pain et une bouteille d’eau et les plaça sur les épaules de Hagar et de l’enfant et les renvoya. 

9 Et elle partit et s’égara dans le désert de Beer-sheva et l’eau de la bouteille était consommée et l’enfant avait soif et ne fut plus capable d’avancer et tomba. 

10 Et sa mère le prit et le plaça sous un olivier et s’éloigna et s’assit dos à lui à une distance de lancée de flèche, car elle dit : Que je ne voie pas la mort de mon enfant ! 

11 Et lorsqu’elle s’assit, elle pleura. Et un Ange d'Elohim, un des saints êtres, lui dit :  Pourquoi pleures-tu Hagar ? 

12 Lève-toi pour prendre l’enfant et prends-le dans ta main, car Elohim a entendu ta voix et a vu l’enfant. 

13 Et elle ouvrit ses yeux et vit un puits d’eau et elle alla et remplit sa bouteille d’eau qu’elle donna à l’enfant pour boire et elle se leva et se rendit vers le désert de Paran.

14 Et l’enfant grandit et devint un archer et Elohim était avec lui et sa mère prit pour lui une femme parmi les filles d’Égypte et elle lui porta un fils et il appela son nom Nebaioth, car elle dit : 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) était proche de moi quand j’ai fait appel à lui.

15 Et cela arriva dans la 1e année de la 7e semaine de ce jubilé, au 1e mois - le 12 de ce mois, il y avait des rumeurs au ciel concernant Abraham, qu’il aimait 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) et qu’il était fidèle dans tout ce qu’il lui avait dit et que dans chaque affliction il était resté fidèle.

16 Et le prince mastema vint et dit devant Elohim : Voici Abraham aime son fils et il se réjouit en lui au-dessus des autres choses. Ordonne-lui de l’offrir sur l’autel en sacrifice au feu et tu verras s’il fera cet ordre et tu sauras lorsque tu l’éprouveras s’il est fidèle en tout, tu l’éprouveras !

17 Et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) savait qu’Abraham était fidèle contre toutes afflictions, car Il l’avait éprouvé par son pays et par la famine, et l’avait éprouvé par la richesse des rois, et l’avait éprouvé par sa femme quand elle fut arrachée [de lui] et par la circoncision, et Il l’avait éprouvé par Ishmaël et Hagar son esclave quand Il les renvoya. 

18 Et dans toute chose qu’Il l’avait éprouvé, Il avait été trouvé fidèle et son âme n’était pas impatiente et Il était lent à agir, car Il était fidèle et amoureux de 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH).

ובשנה הראשונה לשבוע החמישי ביובל ההוא נגמל יצחק ויעש אברהם משתה גדול בחודש השלישי ביום הגמל את יצחק בנו:
Isaac was weaned in this jubilee, and Abraham made a great banquet in the third month, on the day his son Isaac was weaned.
וישמעאל בן הגר המצרית היה על פני אברהם אביו באשר הוא שם:
And Ishmael, the son of Hagar, the Egyptian, was before the face of Abraham, his father, in his place,
וישמח אברהם ויברך את ה' כי יראה בנים מחלציו ולא מת בלי בנים:
and Abraham rejoiced and blessed God because he had seen his sons and had not died childless.
ויזכור את הדבר אשר דבר אתו ביום הפרד לוט מעמו וישמח כי נתן לו אלוהים זרע על הארץ לרשת את הארץ:
And he remembered the words which He had spoken to him on the day on which Lot had parted from him, and he rejoiced because the Lord had given him seed upon the earth to inherit the earth,
ויברך בקול גדול את בורא כל היקום:
and he blessed with all his mouth the Creator of all things.
ותרא שרה את ישמעאל שמח ומכרכר וגם אברהם שמח בו מאוד ותקנא לראות בישמעאל ותאמר לאברהם:
And Sarah saw Ishmael playing and dancing and Abraham rejoicing with great joy, and she became jealous of Ishmael and said to Abraham,

גרש האמה הזאת ואת בנה בן האמה הזאת לא יירש עם בני עם יצחק:
"Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman will not be heir with my son, Isaac."

וירע הדבר בעיני אברהם על אודות אמתו ועל בנו לשלח אותם מעל פניו:
And the thing was grievous in Abraham's sight, because of his maidservant and because of his son, that he should drive them from him.
ויאמר אלוהים אל אברהם אל ירע בעיניך על הילד ועל השפחה כל אשר אמרה שרה אליך שמע דברה ועשה אותו כי ביצחק יקרא לך שם וזרע:
And God said to Abraham "Let it not be grievous in thy sight, because of the child and because of the bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken to her words and do (them); for in Isaac shall thy name and seed be called.
ואת בן השפחה הזאת לגוי גדול אשימנו כי ממשפחתך הוא:
But as for the son of this bondwoman I will make him a great nation, because he is of thy seed."
וישכם אברהם בבוקר ויקח לחם וחמת מים וישם אותו על שכם הגר ואת הנער וישלחה ותלך ותתע במדבר באר שבע:
And Abraham rose up early in the morning and took bread and a bottle of water, and placed them on the shoulders of Hagar and the child, and sent her away.
And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba,
ויכלו המים מן החמת ויצמא הילד ולא יכל ללכת ויפול ארצה:
and the water in the bottle was spent, and the child thirsted, and was not able to go on, and fell down.
ותקחהו אמו ותלך ותשליכהו תחת עץ שמן:
And his mother took him and cast him under an olive tree,

ותלך הלאה ותשב לה מנגדו הרחק כמטחוי קשת כי אמרה אל אראה במות ילדי ותשב ותבך:
and went and sat her down over against him, at the distance of a bow-shot; for she said, "Let me not see the death of my child," and as she sat she wept.
ויאמר אליה מלאך אלוהים אחד הקדושים לאמור מה זה תבכי הגר קומי שאי את הילד והחזיקי את ידך בו כי שמע אלוהים אל קולך:
And an angel of God, one of the holy ones, said unto her, "Why weepest thou, Hagar? Arise, take the child, and hold him in thine hand; for God hath heard thy voice, and hath seen the child."
ותרא את הילד ותפקח את עיניה ותרא באר מים ותלך ותמלא את החמת מים ותשק את ילדה:
And she opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water, and she went and filled her bottle with water, and she gave her child to drink,
ותקם ותלך נוכח פארן ויגדל הילד ויהי רובה קשת ויהי אלוהים אתו:
and she arose and went towards the wilderness of Paran.
And the child grew and became an archer, and God was with him;
ותקח לו אמו אשה מבנות מצרים ותלד לו בן ויקרא את שמו נביות כי אמרה אלוהים היה קרוב לי בקוראי אליו:
and his mother took him a wife from among the daughters of Egypt.
And she bare him a son, and he called his name Nebaioth; for she said, "The Lord was nigh to me when I called upon him."

ויהי בשבוע השביעי בשנה הראשונה בחודש הראשון ליובל ההוא בשנים עשר יום בחודש הזה נדברו בשמים דברים אחדים על אודות אברהם:
For he should become the portion of the Most High, and all his seed had fallen into the possession of God, that it should be unto the Lord a people for (His) possession above all nations and that it should become a kingdom and priests and a holy nation.
ויאמרו כי נאמנה רוחו בכל אשר ידבר ה' אתו וכי יאהב אותו ונכון לבו בכל פגע:
that he was faithful in all that He told him, and that he loved the Lord, and that in every affliction he was faithful.
ויבוא השר משטמה ויאמר לפני האלוהים הנה אברהם אוהב ומוקיר את בנו יצחק מכל:
And the prince Mastêmâ came and said before God, "Behold, Abraham loveth Isaac his son, and he delighteth in him above all things else;
אמור אליו להקריב אותו לעולה על המזבח וראה תראה אם יעשה את הדבר הזה למען תדע אם נאמנה רוחו בכל אשר תנסהו:
bid him offer him as a burnt-offering on the altar, and Thou wilt see if he will do this command, and Thou wilt know if he is faithful in everything wherein Thou dost try him."
ואלוהים ידע כי נאמנה רוח אברהם בכל הפגעים אשר הביא עליו כי נסה אותו בעושר המלכים ואחרי כן באשתו בהלקחה ממנו:
And the Lord knew that Abraham was faithful in all his afflictions; for He had tried him through his country and with famine, and had tried him with the wealth of kings, and had tried him again through his wife, when she was torn (from him),
ואחרי כן בישמעאל והגר אמתו בשלחו אותם ובכל אשר נסהו מצא את לבבו נאמן לפניו:
and with circumcision, and had tried him through Ishmael and Hagar, his maid-servant, when he sent them away.
And in everything wherein He had tried him, he was found faithful,
ולא המרה את רוחו ולא אחר לעשותו כי היה נאמן ואת ה' אהב:
and his soul was not impatient, and he was not slow to act; for he was faithful and a lover of the Lord.
