Yobelim/Jubilés Chapitre 48
1 Et dans la 6e année de la 3e semaine du 49e jubilé, tu es parti habiter [sur] la terre de Midian 5 semaines et un an.
3 Et tu sais toi-même ce qu’il te dit au mont Sinaï et ce que le prince mastema désirait te faire quand tu retournas en Égypte.
4 N’a-t-il pas cherché à te tuer avec toute sa force et délivrer les égyptiens de ta main quand il vit que tu étais envoyé pour accomplir le jugement et la vengeance sur les égyptiens ?
5 Et je te délivrai hors de sa main et tu as exécuté les signes et les miracles pour lesquels tu as été envoyé en Égypte contre pharaon et contre toute sa maison et contre tous ses serviteurs et son peuple.
6 Et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) exécuta sur eux une grande vengeance pour la cause d’Israël et les frappa par [des fléaux de] sang et grenouilles, poux et chien-mouches et de malins abcès éclatants de pustules et de mort leur bétail et par une grêle de pierres - ainsi il détruisit tout ce qui poussait pour eux et fit dévorer par des sauterelles tout ce qui avait été épargné par la grêle et par l’obscurité et [par la mort] du premier-né des hommes et des animaux.
7 Et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) se vengea sur toutes leurs idoles et les brûla au feu.
8 Et tout s’est fait par ta main afin que tu déclares [ces choses] avant qu’elles se fassent et tu parlas avec le roi d’Égypte devant tous ses serviteurs et devant son peuple.
9 Et tout se mit en place selon tes paroles : 10 grands et terribles jugements s’abattirent sur la terre d’Égypte afin que tu exécutes la vengeance pour Israël.
11 Et le prince mastema s’éleva contre toi et cherchait à te livrer entre les mains de pharaon et il aida les sorciers égyptiens qui se levèrent et formèrent devant toi les malveillances que nous leur autorisâmes de faire, mais nous ne permîmes pas aux remèdes d’être formés par leurs mains.
12 Et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) les accabla de malins ulcères et ils n’étaient pas capable de se tenir debout, alors nous les détruisîmes pour qu’ils ne puissent plus exécuter un seul signe.
13 Et malgré tous [ces] signes et miracles, le prince mastema ne fut pas mis en honte parce qu’il prit courage et cria au égyptiens de te poursuivre avec toutes les puissances des égyptiens, avec leurs chariots et avec leurs chevaux et avec toutes les armées des peuples d’Égypte.
14 Et je me tins entre les égyptiens et Israël et nous délivrâmes Israël hors de sa main et hors de la main de son peuple, et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) les amena à travers la mer comme si c’était une terre sèche.
15 Et tous les peuples qu’il avait amené pour poursuivre Israël, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) notre Elohim les précipitèrent au milieu de la mer, dans les profondeurs de l’abysse, sous les pieds des enfants d’Israël, comme si le peuple d’Égypte avait jeté leurs enfants dans la rivière ; il fit vengeance sur 1 000 d’entre eux, et 1 000 hommes forts et actifs furent détruits à cause d’un nourrisson des enfants de ce peuple qu’ils avaient jeté dans la rivière.
16 Et au 14e jour et au 15e jour et au 16e jour et au 17e jour et au 18e jour le prince mastema fut attaché et emprisonné derrière les enfants d’Israël afin qu’il ne les accuse pas mais au 19e jour nous les relâchâmes pour qu’ils aident les égyptiens et poursuivent les enfants d’Israël.
17 Et 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (YHWH) endurcit leurs cœurs et les rendit obstinés, et le plan était planifié par notre Elohim afin qu’Il puisse battre les égyptiens et les jeter dans la mer.
18 Et au 14e jour, nous le liâmes afin qu’il ne puisse pas accuser les enfants d’Israël en ce jour lorsqu’ils demandèrent aux égyptiens pour des récipients et des vêtements, récipients d’argent et récipients de bronze, de façon à dépouiller les égyptiens en échange de la servitude par laquelle ils les avaient forcé de servir et nous n’avons pas sorti les enfants d’Israël d’Égypte les mains vides.
ובשנה השישית לשבוע השלישי ליובל הארבעים ותשעה הלכת ותשב ששה שבועים ושנה אחת:
And in the sixth year of the third week of the forty-ninth jubilee thou didst depart and dwell in the land of Midian five weeks and one year.
ותשב מצרימה בשבוע השני בשנה השנית ליובל החמישים:
And thou didst return into Egypt in the second week in the second year in the fiftieth jubilee.
ואתה ידעת את אשר דבר אתך בהר סיני ואת אשר אבה השר משטמה לעשות לך בשובך מצרימה בדרך בחג הסוכות:
And thou thyself knowest what He spake unto thee on Mount Sinai, and what prince Mastêmâ desired to do with thee when thou wast returning into Egypt on the way when thou didst meet him at the lodging-place.
הלא התחזק בכל כוחו להמית אותך ולהציל את המצרים מידך בראותו כי שולחת לעשות משפט ונקמה במצרים:
Did he not with all his power seek to slay thee and deliver the Egyptians out of thy hand when he saw that thou wast sent to execute judgment and vengeance on the Egyptians?
ואציל אותך מידו ואעש אותות ומופתים אשר צווית לעשות במצרים לעיני פרעה וכל ביתו ועבדיו ועמו:
And I delivered thee out of his hand, and thou didst perform the signs and wonders which thou wast sent to perform in Egypt against Pharaoh, and against all his house, and against his servants and his people.
ויעש ה' נקמה בם נקם כבד בגלל ישראל ויכם וימיתם בדם ובצפרדע ובכנים ובערוב ובשחין אבעבועות פורח:
And the Lord executed a great vengeance on them for Israel's sake, and smote them through (the plagues of) blood and frogs, lice and dog-flies, and malignant boils breaking forth in blains;
ואת בהמתם בדבר ובברד ויך בו את כל צמחם ובארבה אשר אכל את הפלטה הנשארת מן הברד:
and their cattle by death; and by hail-stones, thereby He destroyed everything that grew for them; and by locusts which devoured the residue which had been left by the hail,
ובחושך ואת בכוריהם מאדם עד בהמה:
and by darkness; and (by the death) of the first-born of men and animals,
ובכל אליליהם עשה ה' שפטים וישרוף אותם באש:
and on all their idols the Lord took vengeance and burned them with fire.
והכל צווה בידך לעשות אותו וטרם תעשה ותדבר אל מלך מצרים ולפני כל עבדיו ולפני עמו:
And everything was sent through thy hand, that thou shouldst declare (these things) before they were done, and thou didst speak with the king of Egypt before all his servants and before his people.
והכל נעשה בדברך עשרה שפטים גדולים ונוראים באו על ארץ מצרים לנקום נקמת ישראל:
And everything took place according to thy words; ten great and terrible judgments came on the land of Egypt that thou mightest execute vengeance on it for Israel.
ואת כל זאת עשה ה' בעבור ישראל ועל פי הברית אשר כרת עם אברהם ויינקם מהם על אשר לחצו אותם בפרך:
And the Lord did everything for Israel's sake, and according to His covenant, which He had ordained with Abraham that He would take vengeance on them as they had brought them by force into bondage.
ויעמוד השר משטמה לך לשטן ויחפוץ להפיל אותך ביד פרעה ויעזור את חרטומי מצרים ויושיעם לעשות הדבר לפניך:
And the prince of the Mastêmâ stood up against thee, and sought to cast thee into the hands of Pharaoh, and he helped the Egyptian sorcerers, and they stood up and wrought before thee.
אמנם נתנו בידם להוציא את המכות אך את הרפואות לא נתנו להם להעשות על ידיהם:
The evils indeed we permitted them to work, but the remedies we did not allow to be wrought by their hands.
וה הכה אותם באבעבועות הרעות ולא יכלו לעמוד לפניו כי הכחדנו אותם לבלתי עשות עוד גם אות אחת:
And the Lord smote them with malignant ulcers, and they were not able to stand for we destroyed them so that they could not perform a single sign.
ובכל האותות והמופתים מאן השר משטמה להכלם עד אשר התחזק ויקרא אל המצרים לרדוף אחריך בכל חיל מצרים ברכביהם ובסוסיהם ובכל רוב עמי מצרים:
And notwithstanding all (these) signs and wonders the prince of the Mastêmâ was not put to shame because he took courage and cried to the Egyptians to pursue after thee with all the powers of the Egyptians, with their chariots, and with their horses, and with all the hosts of the peoples of Egypt.
ואעמוד בינך וביניהם בין המצרים ובין בני ישראל ואציל את בני ישראל מידם מיד המצרים:
And I stood between the Egyptians and Israel, and we delivered Israel out of his hand, and out of the hand of his people,
ויוליך ה' אותם בתוך הים ביבשה ואת כל האנשים אשר חיזק את לבבם לרדוף אחרי ישראל ירה ה' אלוהינו בתוך הים במצולות התהום:
and the Lord brought them through the midst of the sea as if it were dry land. And all the peoples whom he brought to pursue after Israel, the Lord our God cast them into the midst of the sea, into the depths of the abyss
תחת בני ישראל אשר השליכו המצרים אותם למאה ולמאות אל היאור על כן נקום נקם מהם ואלף אנשי חיל גיבורים ואמיצים טבעו בעבור יונק אחר המומת מבני עמך אשר השליכוהו היאורה:
beneath the children of Israel, even as the people of Egypt had cast their children into the river. He took vengeance on ,, of them, and one thousand strong and energetic men were destroyed on account of one suckling of the children of thy people which they had thrown into the river.
ביום הארבעה עשר ובחמשה עשר ובשישה עשר ובשבעה עשר ובשמונה עשר היה השר משטמה אסור וכלוא מאחרי בני ישראל למען לא יוכל לעמוד לשטן להם:
And on the fourteenth day and on the fifteenth and on the sixteenth and on the seventeenth and on the eighteenth the prince of the Mastêmâ was bound and imprisoned behind the children of Israel that he might not accuse them
ביום התשעה עשר שלחנו אותו לחופשי למען יעזור את המצרים ולמען ירדפו אחרי בני ישראל:
And on the nineteenth we let them loose that they might help the Egyptians and pursue the children of Israel.
ויכבד את לבם ויקשה אותם ויתגבר עליהם כרצון ה' אלוהינו למען יכה את המצרים וישליכם אל הים:
And he hardened their hearts and made them stubborn, and the device was devised by the Lord our God that He might smite the Egyptians and cast them into the sea.
וביום החמשה עשר אסרנו אותו לבלתי היות לשטן לבני ישראל ביום אשר שאלו הכלים והשמלות מאת המצרים כלי כסף זהב ונחושת:
And on the fourteenth we bound him that he might not accuse the children of Israel on the day when they asked the Egyptians for vessels and garments, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze,
לנצל את מצרים על אשר עבדו אותם יען אשר לחצו אותם בפרך ולא נתנו את בני ישראל לצאת ריקם ממצרים:
in order to despoil the Egyptians in return for the bondage in which they had forced them to serve.
And we did not lead forth the children of Israel from Egypt empty handed.
